El ħarf da mec benestaɛmelo xāles fe awwel ek kalām; ek kapital betāɛo mawgud bass ɛacān nestaxdemo fe ħālet enn ek kelma kollaha tekun kapital.
This letter is never used in the beginning of a word; the capital form is reserved for use in wholly-capitalized words.

Ɛala ɛaks ħarf el Y elli fe-l Engelizi, el Y hena benestaɛmelha bas ka ħarf sābet, mec motaħarrek. Yaɛni zayy el Y el Engelizi elli fe kelmet yes, bas mec zayy Y fe very.
Unlike its English counterpart, The Y letter here is a consonant Y only, it should never be used as a vowel, i.e. as in yes, but not as in very.

El ħoruf di fe-l ğāleb betkun mawguda fe-k kalām elli men asl agnabi.
These letters are mostly used in words originating from foreign languages.
